Aylesbury Folk Club was launched on 11th September 2015, organised by Eddy Richards and Amanda Diamond. It was originally held in the Art Studio at the Queens Park Centre, and occasionally in the coffee bar. It later moved to the Foxhill Bowls Club, also in Aylesbury, where it met monthly until September 2022, with some breaks during the pandemic. At that point, Eddy and Amanda moved to Devon. Club members were keen for the club to continue, but we decided to give it a relaunch …..
On October 7th 2022, Folk Acoustic & Blues Aylesbury (FAB) was born, starting in the back room of the Hop Pole pub in Bicester Road. It soon became clear that a town centre pub on a Friday evening was not going to be ideal for a club that was largely acoustic, as there was just too much background noise, so we moved to the Fairford Leys Centre, which is where we currently meet.
